Copy of the original in the Museum of Western and Oriental Art, Kiev, Ukraine from Art Page 12. This version presents a younger King of Poland.Placed on the throne in 1764 by Catherine II. Stanislas returned to Russia on a pension allowed him by Russia, Prussia, and Austria who divided his kingdon between them. Vigée Le Brun has dressed him as Henry IV, with a large medallion of the Freemasons.
